I wrote an article that appeared in the Irish press a few weeks ago talking about growing SME exports but according to Sir Richard Lambert, the outgoing chair of the CBI, it is just as applicable in the UK and many other developed countries.  He criticised the UK government for focusing only on spending cuts and not having a clear plan for growth. He said that growth will come from SME’s and specifically helping them in export markets – just what the Irish government is very successful at doing.
